Directed by the superintendent of police Uttarkashi Sarita Dobhal, a joint team of Barkot Police and Special Operations Group (SOG) arrested during a checking drive a drug smuggler and recovered from him 937 grams of hashish.
Sharing details, the deputy superintendent of police, Barkot, Devendra Singh Negi said that the arrested youth had been identified as Alok Kumar (25), resident of Gufyara, Uttarkashi, adding that the accused had been booked under section 8/20 of NDPS Act. The police were investigating his criminal history, he further said.
