The State director of education Banshidhar Tiwari suspended a school teacher in Chamoli district for being drunk while on duty. He said that the teachers cannot be allowed to play with the future of the students, adding that the sanctity of the schools must be maintained at any costs. The incident happened in a primary school in Nanda Nagar Ghat area of Chamoli district. It is learnt that it is a one- teacher school. The villagers found the teacher drunk, sleeping in a room of the school during the school time.
