Dry weather, clear skies forecast in State today

The maximum and minimum temperatures in the provisional State capital Dehradun remained a few notches lower than normal on Friday. However, sunny conditions provided relief from the cold during the daytime while the level of mercury dropped sharply after sunset. Similar conditions were experienced in some other parts of the State. The State meteorological centre has forecast that dry weather is likely to prevail in the districts of the State on Saturday. Dehradun is likely to witness a mainly clear sky with mist likely to occur in some parts during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 22 degrees Celsius and six degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Friday were 21 degrees Celsius and 5.8 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 20.6 degrees Celsius and 3.2 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 15.9 degrees Celsius and 4.5 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 16.6 degrees Celsius and 4.5 degrees Celsius in New Tehri. The maximum temperature was one degree below normal while the minimum temperature was three degrees below normal in Dehradun. In Pantnagar, the maximum and minimum temperatures were two degrees and four degrees below normal respectively.
