The winter chill has not yet set in in the real sense in the plains of the State. The minimum temperatures are hovering around 10 degrees Celsius but the maximum temperatures have not dropped much.
The state meteorological centre has forecast that dry weather is likely to prevail in all districts of the State on Friday. Apart from this, the provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a mainly clear sky. Mist is likely to occur during the morning hours with the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to be about 26 degrees Celsius and 10 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
According to the meteorological centre, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the state on Thursday were 26.4 degrees Celsius and 9.6 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 26.6 degrees Celsius and 10.4 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 15.4 degrees Celsius and 7.8 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 19.4 degrees Celsius and 7.1 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
