Dry weather, warmer conditions likely to continue today

With winter appearing to be on the wane, temperatures remained above normal in various parts of the State on Saturday. Similar conditions are expected on Sunday with the State Meteorological Centre forecasting that dry weather is likely to prevail over all districts of the State. The provisional State capital Dehradun is likely to witness a mainly cloudy sky with mist/shallow fog likely to occur in the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperature are likely to be about 25 degrees Celsius and seven degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded on Saturday in various parts of the State were 24.7 degrees Celsius and 7.3 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 21.5 degrees Celsius and 4.6 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 19.1 degrees Celsius and 2.9 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 18.2 degrees Celsius and 3.8 degrees Celsius in New Tehri. The maximum temperature was 4.6 degrees Celsius above normal while the minimum was a degree above normal in Dehradun. The maximum was 1.6 degrees Celsius above normal in Pantnagar while the maximum was 7.1 degrees above normal and the minimum was a degree above normal in Mukteshwar. The maximum was 3.2 degrees above normal in New Tehri.
