The District Sports Office (DSO) will be organising a selection trial for the State invitation athletics competition on November 22.
District sports officer Nidhi Binjola informed that the Udham Singh Nagar district sports office will be organising a State-level athletics competition for scheduled caste boys in Rudrapur from November 26 to 28. The Dehradun team will also participate in this competition. The Dehradun DSO will organise a selection trial on November 22, she added.
She further informed that players who wish to participate in the trial must carry their Aadhaar card, domicile certificate, photocopy of their scheduled caste certificate and a passport-size photograph. The trial will consist of a series of athletic events including 100 metres, 200 metres, 400 metres and 800 metres races as well as long jumps, javelin throw, shot put and discus throw, she added.
