The Doon Valley Mahanagar Udyog Vyapar Mandal (DVMUVM) plans to hold a meeting with the shopkeepers of Dehradun in the near future to address the issue of individuals creating social media reels in Paltan Bazaar. The organisation has decided to take action in response to the issue reported in The Pioneer regarding the inconvenience caused to the commuters and shoppers due to public nuisance and worsening of congestion caused by the filming of reels in that area. The commuters and shoppers have questioned the disruption caused by some people making reels and resulting traffic congestion at Paltan Bazaar. They emphasised that the filming of reels in the market area is interfering with the shopping experience of visitors. Additionally, it has been noted that the creators of these reels are featuring the faces of the general public in their content without their permission. The DVMUVM president Pankaj Masson, has also expressed concern and stated that he was unaware of the trend of reel making in the market area. Feedback will be gathered from shopkeepers first. If shopkeepers express similar concerns on behalf of customers during the meeting, they will approach the authorities to address this issue. The Traffic circle officer Anuj Arya has stated that necessary action will be taken against those who disrupt traffic flow and cause disturbance for such activities.
