Bowing to the long standing demand of the teachers, the school Education department affected inter divisional transfer of 366 Lecture Teachers on Wednesday.
The officers of the department informed that 201 LTs of Kumaon and 165 LTs of Garhwal division were given the benefit of inter divisional transfer. The transferred teachers will have to join their new assignment within 15 days.
It is pertinent to mention here that the teachers were demanding that they should be given the benefit of inter divisional transfer. On the orders of the Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat the department effected a change in the service regulation of the LT in the year 2024 based on which these teachers were transferred from one division to another. Under the new guidelines the teachers are allowed the benefit of inter division transfer once during their entire service period.
The teacher associations have expressed gratitude to Rawat for accepting their long standing demand.
Rawat said that the State government has fulfilled the demand of inter division transfer of LTs. Congratulating the teachers, the minister expressed confidence that the transferred teachers will work with complete dedication and commitment at their new place of posting.
