In latest news from Uttarakhand, hundreds of Muslim devotees offered prayer at mosques spread over Haldwani to mark the Eid ul Fitr. The Ulemas who presided over the special namaz said they had prayed for individual as well as collective wellbeing of the people and the country. After the namaz was over, they returned home where fabulous feast was held on the occasion. The confectioners in the city saw hordes of customers buying variety of sweets.
Meanwhile, the SP City Prakash Chandra, city magistrate A P Vajpayee and SDM Paritosh Verma among others went to Vanbhoolpura and greeted people on the occasion of Eid.
