In latest news from Uttarakhand, 3785 members are now participating in the election for the constitution of the new executive committee of the famed Boat House Club Limited of Nainital. Senior club functionaries said that nine candidates will be elected and after the election process is over, the office bearers would be appointed.
Notably, the commissioner Kumaon division is the ex-officio president and the district magistrate is the ex-officio vice-president of this prestigious club.
This time, 12 candidates are in the election fray. The administrative officer of the club G B Joshi said that with e-voting being done from July 9 to 11 for the formation of the new committee, physical voting was being held on Friday. While a general meeting of the club members was being organised on Friday during which the account of annual work was slated to be presented the counting of votes would be conducted on July 13 and results would be declared the same day.
