The Social Development for Communities (SDC) Foundation has claimed that employment, health and education are the major election issues in the ensuing Uttarakhand Assembly elections in its report- Mood of Uttarakhand, on the basis of online feedback of citizens. Although the foundation has made it clear that this report is based only on online feedback given by over 200 people, SDC president Anoop Nautiyal said that it certainly indicates the mood of the people of the state.  He said that he had asked the opinion of common people regarding the major concerns in assembly elections this year through various social media platforms and over 200 people gave their feedback through social media platforms- Facebook and Twitter. He said that on analysing the responses of the people, the foundation found out that employment and healthcare facilities will be the biggest issue in the election this time too. According to him, 46 per cent of the people in this survey have described employment and healthcare as the biggest issue of the state while 34 per cent considered education as the third major issue. Further, 25 per cent of people consider land laws to be the fourth major issue and 14 per cent believe corruption is the next major concern, stated Nautiyal. According to the report, 12 per cent of people considered infrastructure to be the main issue while eight per cent believed environment to be the next main issue in the elections. The report has mentioned that five per cent of people consider the issue of Gairsain as state capital to be important and the same percentage of people consider electricity and water issues as the biggest concern are the state.
