Chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat has directed all the district magistrates and senior superintendents of police to ensure that wearing of masks in public, social distancing and all other rules for protection from Covid-19 are strictly followed. The CM stressed that there should be no relaxation in observance of the Covid guidelines in public. Adequate number of police personnel should be posted in main bazaars, crowded locations and other public places. All sub divisional magistrates and circle officers should monitor this themselves.
Rawat said that considering the consistently rising cases of Covid-19, it is essential for every person to follow the Covid guidelines properly. Action should be taken against any person found violating the guidelines. Challan should be issued immediately if a person is found without mask in public or violating social distancing. Elaborate public awareness drives should be conducted once again to motivate the people to observe the guidelines diligently, he said.
