Enhance public interaction, resolve grievances- Nadda

The Bharatiya Janata Party national president Jagat Prakash Nadda stressed on listening to public grievances and resolving them. He said this while speaking to the party’s office bearers, MPs and MLAs at a hotel in Haridwar on the first day of the two-day Uttarakhand visit on Friday. Seeking information about the tour programmes of party leaders, he also issued necessary directions to them.
Nadda laid emphasis on increasing communication with the public and making the tour programmes more active. He issued directions on how to improve communication at various levels from district to booth level and on how to make the tour programmes more useful. He said that the party organisation should work more actively to ensure that the public welfare works being done by the government reach the general public. The BJP national president also discussed aspects related to development works and the elections with the MPs and MLAs.
The BJP state president Madan Kaushik informed about the various programmes and campaigns being conducted in the state by the party organisation. He said that during the Covid pandemic the BJP workers were busy serving the public while leaders of other parties largely stayed at home. Considering the possibility of a third wave, the party is also preparing health volunteers at each booth, he added.
Speaking about the state government’s achievements, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the government is working to meet the expectations of the public. Separate relief packages had been announced by the state government for those in the tourism sector, health workers and members of women self help groups considering the negative impact of Covid-19 pandemic on them.
Nadda also held a meeting with all the ministers, party MLAs and MPs, expecting them to meet public aspirations. In the meeting with the ministers, he also sought information about the public welfare schemes being undertaken by their respective departments. The BJP national general secretary (organisation) BL Santhosh, state in-charge Dushyant Kumar Gautam, co in-charge Rekha Verma, Union minister of State Ajay Bhatt, former chief ministers Trivendra Singh Rawat, Tirath Singh Rawat, national media in-charge Anil Baluni and others were also present in the meeting.
Nadda also released publications on development works in Uttarakhand and the party’s view regarding its youth leadership in the state.
Earlier, after his arrival at the Dehradun airport, the BJP national president was welcomed at various locations along the route to the party’s programme venue.
