In latest news from Uttarakhand, while addressing a largely attended poll rally in the IDPL ground in Rishikesh, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as is his wont, sought to strike an emotional chord with the people of Uttarakhand by assuring that he would pull out all the stops in his third term if elected to make it a leading State in tourism through extensive infrastructure building to make travel easier. He also reiterated his government’s commitment to make the frontier villages vibrant villages in the true sense through effective execution of the scheme the Centre has rolled out for this purpose. He also ripped into the Congress for applying every tricks to stop Ram temple construction while casting aspersion on the reality of Lord Ram. The BJP candidates for three constituencies in Garhwal-Trivendra Singh Rawat for Haridwar, Anil Baluni for Garhwal and Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah for Tehri -were present on the dais with the PM. He introduced them to people and urged them not just to vote for them but also to visit temples in their localities to seek divine blessing on his behalf. He also exhorted them to go to the elderly people to convey his well wishes to them on his behalf.
