The Additional chief electoral officer ( Ad CEO) of Uttarakhand, C Ravishankar has directed the district election officer of Champawat to ensure free and fair conduction of elections in Champawat assembly by- poll. He took a review of the preparations for the by-elections in a video conferencing session on Friday. In the meeting he said that the availability of the polling material should be made sure and special care should be taken about the training of employees and the security plan for the polls. Ravi Shankar said that the control room should remain fully activated and regular reports should be sent.
He said that special facilities for the Divyang and elderly ( More than 80 years) should be given. He also directed that the fool proof security arrangements of EVMs and VVPATs should be made. The joint CEO Uttarakhand Pratap Shah, deputy CEO Jitendra Kumar and officers of administration and police attended the session.
