Ensure grounding of the MoUs signed in roadshows: CM to officers

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed the officers of the State administration to ensure grounding of the investment agreements signed in the roadshows before the Global Investors Summit scheduled next month. He gave the order while chairing a meeting of the senior officers of the State at his residence on Saturday. Dhami said that there is a need to simplify the policies in order to encourage investment in the State. He said that the investment proposals which are favourable to the State and create more employment opportunities should be given priority. Dhami said that the air connectivity in the State should be extended for increasing industrial investment. He said the exercise needed to be done at the level of State should be done at a fast pace for developing the Dehradun airport and Pantnagar airport to international airports. The CM also directed the officers to expedite the process of starting regular air service from the Naini Saini air strip in Pithoragarh. He said that the ropeway construction works in the State should also be expedited.
Dhami directed the officers that work on the Manaskhand Mandir Mala mission should be done at a fast pace. He said that work should also be executed towards facilitating an increase in connectivity between Garhwal and Kumaon divisions of the State.
The CM said that the preparations in a planned manner should be done for the sixth world conference on disaster scheduled to be held in Dehradun on December 1. He also reviewed the law and order situation and warned that laxity will not be tolerated in this regard.
