Ensure no stray animals interrupt traffic and event on President’s arrival: DM to MCD

In view of the planned visit of the President Droupadi Murmu, the Dehradun district magistrate Sonika has directed the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD) to make proper cleanliness arrangements and ensure that no stray animals block the routes. She stated this in a virtual meeting of the various departments concerned regarding various arrangements and preparations in the district. She instructed all the magistrates, officials and personnel deployed on duty to work actively with proper understanding to carry out their responsibilities. She asked the MCD officials to facilitate proper arrangements at the event venue and helipad among others. She instructed them to maintain proper cleanliness at the event venues and traffic routes while ensuring that no animals interrupt between the President’s convoy and the route to the venue and during the programme. She directed the officials to take their respective duties seriously and work in mutual coordination for the maximum output of their hard work. Sonika said that any kind of negligence by any department regarding their duties will not be tolerated by the administration. Appropriate action will be taken on non-compliance of the orders, she added. The President is arriving on a three-day visit to the State on Tuesday. She will be visiting Pantnagar, Badrinath and Dehradun during her visit.
