The Mussoorie- Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) has started a new multiplex at the ISBT Mall in Dehradun on Thursday.
This multiplex has been opened under the ISBT project and is now showing Bollywood and Hollywood movies. “With this facility, people living in areas like Subhash Nagar, Clement Town, Mehuwala, Majra, Kargi and Banjarawala will no longer need to travel far for entertainment,” MDDA officials said.
The ISBT multiplex has three modern screens with big displays, good sound systems and comfortable seating. Three different movies can be watched at the same time, giving viewers more choice. “Proper parking facilities have also been provided, which will help visitors avoid parking problems. The aim of starting the multiplex is to give local people a better cinema experience near their homes and save their time,” a senior MDDA officer said.
The MDDA officials further said that the ISBT Mall is being developed as a multi-utility centre. Along with the multiplex, shopping outlets, food courts and other daily-use facilities will also be added in the coming days.
The secretary, MDDA, Mohan Singh Barnia said that this project would help in the development of the area and create new job opportunities for the local youths.
