EPFO settles 98 % claim in the year 2022-2023

The Regional Office, Dehradun of the Employees Provident Fund Organization ( EPFO) has claimed to have settled more than 98 per cent of the claims within 10 days in the financial year 2022-2023.
Interacting with the media persons the Regional provident fund commissioner, Vishwajit Sagar said on Wednesday that as compared to the statutory time limit of 20 days, Employees fund organization settled 98 per cent claim in 10 days. However, out of 98 per cent, 82 per cent of claims were settled within three days by EPFO.
He further said, “Our provident fund office has opened many help centres in the office premises. The help centres were established according to the decision of the high court and the instruction by the EPFO. EPFO will correct the personal details as per the records, if the pensioners would not be able to apply for joint consent option due to difference in personal details. Provident fund offices make sure that no member faces any difficulty in filing the joint consent option in the portal.’’ Sagar said that the organisation has taken strict action on the defaulter institutions last year.
“We will continue keeping a strict vigil on the defaulting institution in the near future. We have settled and taken action against some defaulter institutions in Dehradun such as Upvan restaurant, SK enterprise, prestige light India private limited and Narayan Industries Global Limited,’’ he said. The officer further added that the EPFO organizes a Nidhi Aapke near 2.0 programmes on 27 of every month in all the districts of the country. Under this, EPFO will outreach that every organization in all the districts provide seamless security to the members.
