Ex-gratia grant for martyrs’ dependants to be raised from Rs 10 l to Rs 50 l
CM Dhami makes a string of announcements to mark Kargil Diwas

In latest news from Dehradun, marking the 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced that the dependants of the army martyrs would receive an ex- gratia grant of Rs 50 lakh from the government in place of the earlier amount of Rs 10 lakh.
In a post on X, he further announced that the time period for a dependant of such a martyr to apply for a government job is being raised from the present two years to five years.
In another announcement, he said that the dependants of the martyrs would not just be recruited for the Group C and D posts in the district magistrates’ offices as is the present arrangement but in all departments of the State government.
