In latest news from Doon, the former BJP MLA from Champawat and the chairman of the State Forest Development Corporation Kailash Chandra Gahtori passed away at a hospital here after battling a prolonged illness.
Notably, after the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami lost the 2022 assembly election from Khatima Gahtori vacated his seat to enable Dhami to contest. Dhami was elected from the constituency with a thumping margin. CM Dhami condoled the BJP leader’s death, terming it as a loss for the BJP organisation and a personal loss for him.
