In latest news from Doon, while addressing an international conference on the essence of Buddhism here in Doon, the former President Ram Nath Kovind stressed on introspecting and finding peace deep within following the postulates laid down by Lord Buddha. A total of 11 countries are attending this conference. He threw light on the metaphysical foundation of Buddhism. Addressing the gathering, the Governor Lt Gen (rtd) Gurmit Singh recounted his experiences while he was visiting some Buddhist countries. A host of Buddhist scholars also addressed the gathering and elucidated on different features of Buddhism.
