Ex–student now PM’s Advisor  to receive honorary DSc at KU convocation

In latest news from Uttarakhand, this being the golden jubilee year of Kumaun University, an ex- student for the first time would be conferred with honorary DSc during the 18th convocation ceremony slated on January 19. Sharing this information, the vice-chancellor Diwan Singh Rawat said that two eminent persons would be presented the honorary DSc by the university during the upcoming convocation ceremony. One of them is Bhaskar Khulbe who, an alumnus of the DSB campus of the university, is currently the advisor to the Prime Minister and the other is Prof Govardhan Mehta who is an eminent scientist.  This aside, students would be presented post-graduate and graduate degrees as usual. The VC further said that while 379 students would be presented PhDs in different subjects six teachers would be conferred with DLitt.
