Excise department launches QR code for complaints & suggestions

In a measure aimed at effectively dealing with the long standing issue of liquor overrating and other complaints in the State, the Excise department launched a special QR code for complaints and suggestions related to the department on Thursday. The code was released by the principal secretary L Fenai.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the QR code will be displayed at all the liquor shops and offices of the Excise department. He said that with the help of QR code any person will be able to register his complaint against illegal liquor manufacturing, smuggling and liquor licenses. As soon as the complaint is registered on QR code it will be received in the control room of the department. Fenai said that the department has made a provision under which the complaint will be resolved within 24 hours in the plain areas and 48 hours in remote districts. It will be reviewed from time to time by senior officials of the department, he said.
Excise commissioner HC Semwal, additional excise commissioner (Administration) Narendra Singh, additional excise commissioner PS Gabriyal, BS Chauhan, Joint excise commissioner TK Pant, deputy excise commissioner Prabhashankar Mishra and other officers of the department were present on the occasion.
