In latest news from Dehradun, as the excise department team raided a fast food shop in a village under Vikasnagar, the couple which owns the shop and some locals attacked the team members. The fight broke out after the wife of the owner slapped the sub-inspector who led the excise team during the raid. His clothes were also torn. The locals allegedly confined the team for half an hour. Later, a police team came and got the excise team members out. Police arrested the couple which owns the shop in connection with the incident. Notably, the excise team raided the shop on receiving information that country liquor was being covertly sold from the fast food shop. Police further said that a case has been registered on the basis of a complaint lodged.
