Failure as opposition, Congress hoping for fluke in 2027, says Bhatt

The Bharatiya Janata Party has said that the Congress has repeatedly failed in its Uttarakhand in-charge Kumari Selja’s home State of Haryana but is hoping for a fluke here, which is laughable. The BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt claimed that his party has been winning the trust of the public by fulfilling every promise made to the people from Dehradun to Delhi. However, despite having failed in its role as the opposition, the Congress is still waiting for a stroke of luck.
In a statement issued to the media, the BJP State president claimed that the BJP government has executed historic development works during the past nine years. “Under chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the current State government has set records in every sphere. The government has successfully executed major steps like implementation of Uniform Civil Code, anti-conversion law, anti-riot law, action against illegal religious structures and steps for maintaining demographic balance along with anti-copying law, record number of appointments to government jobs and various public welfare schemes. Work on enhancing road, rail, air and ropeway connectivity has progressed at a swift pace. Development works under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi have changed the scenario in Uttarakhand,” he said.
Rebutting Selja’s allegations of lack of coordination in the BJP government and people wanting a change, Bhatt said that she could not enable her party’s victory in the Vidhan Sabha and local body elections in her home State. Those who are suffering from factionalism, continuing to face defeat in local body elections in Himachal Pradesh and other States are now claiming to be confident of a victory in Uttarakhand, he said. “Recently, the BJP won nine out of 10 municipal corporations in Haryana while the Congress won only one. In Himachal too the Congress won only one corporation while the party’s results in the elections for municipalities, Panchayats and councils are worse. She can show hollow dreams to the regional Congress leaders, not to the public. The Congress is under the misapprehension that a failed leader like Rahul Gandhi can provide ammunition for the party’s win,” Bhatt added.
