Rajasthan police claimed to have busted a fake marriage racket by arresting a young woman who had allegedly conned at least 29 youths in different states of the country on the pretext of marriage. Several members of the gang were also arrested. As per police, the young woman and the members of her gang used counterfeit Aadhar cards and other documents to conceal their identities. While on the trail of the mastermind and the members of the con marriage racket, Rajasthan police took into its custody a woman and several young men at Saidpur town in Ghajipur of Uttar Pradesh. Police said they had acted on the complaint lodged by a victim who hails from Bharatpur in Rajasthan at a local police station in UP. As per the complaint, he got married on December 26 and when he was going home with his newly married wife members of her gang waylaid him and looted all he had.
