Five members of a family including three children were found dead in suspicious circumstances at Ghuni village of Chamoli district on Thursday. The newly appointed superintendent of police (SP) of Chamoli, Shweta Choubey informed that 38-year old Dinesh Lal was found hanging in a room of his house in the village while his three children along with his wife were found foaming at the mouth in the nearby room.
The woman was 35 years old Beera Devi and the three children were seven years old Akshay, eight years old Arun and 13 years old Neha. Nayab Tehsildar Dheeraj Rana also informed that a medical team has been called to the village to conduct the post-mortem of the bodies. On the question of whether the deaths are suicide, the officials said that nothing can be said for sure right now and that the matter is under investigation.
