Family seeks permission from President to commit suicide

A family of Ansal Green Valley society, Jakhan which was threatened and beaten by a mob of the people allegedly led by the local councillor belonging to the BJP has written a letter to the President of India requesting that it should be allowed to commit suicide.
In a letter to the President, Pravin Bharadwaj has said that on February 22 this year a mob of 70-80 people had entered his home and attacked him, his adolescent son and wife. He alleged that the attackers also tried to set the entire family on fire. Bharadwaj said that he has registered a case against local councillor Sanjay Nautiyal and others under various sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC) in the Rajpur police station but the culprits are roaming free because they have political patronage. In the letter Bharadwaj has also levelled other serious allegations on the local councillor and has requested that she should permit the family to commit suicide.
Bharadwaj said that he has sent the letter and other relevant information to the President and would soon dispatch its copies to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home minister Amit Shah. He claimed that if no action is taken soon then he and his family would immolate themselves outside the residence of the CM.
