FICCI presents Smart Policing Award to IG Kewal Khurana & STF SSP Ajai Singh

The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) felicitated the Inspector General of State Crime Record Bureau (SCRB) and general commander of the home guard and civil defense Kewal Khurana and the senior superintendent of police of the Special Task Force (STF) Ajai Singh with the Smart Policing Award on Friday in Delhi.
Both officers were chosen for the award from a total of 192 entries from various States and central paramilitary organizations. Khurana was conferred with the first award by the federation for the Uttarakhand Traffic Eyes App for Road Safety and Traffic Management under the category Road Safety and Traffic Management for the year 2021.
As the director of the traffic directorate, Khurana played an important role in tackling the issue of routine traffic jams besides strengthening the traffic system across Uttarakhand. The Uttarakhand Traffic Eyes App was launched by the directorate on February 29, 2020, under his direction to improve the traffic system besides taking legal action against traffic violators through the app. A total of about 7,0247 complaints have been received through this app from the year 2020 to 2022 collecting revenue of over Rs 44 lakh.
The federation felicitated the STF SSP Ajai Singh with the second award for smart policing initiatives like the launch of e-Suraksha Chakra 2.0 under the Cyber Crime Management category. The STF has also nabbed several national and international cyber criminals during Singh’s tenure in STF so far.
