Film shooting resumes in U’khand after rain

In latest news from Doon, after a rain-spawned hiatus of a few months, the shooting teams from Bollywood, including actors, have started arriving in the State. Actors Radhika Apte and Divyendu Sharma have already arrived in Dehradun. They have also reached Haridwar and Rishikesh. The shooting of the film will continue till October 15. Thereafter, the shooting of the film to be directed by Manish Malhotra will begin in Nainital. It is also learnt that the shooting spree will continue in November in Mussoorie, Dehradun and Nainital. Atul Painuli of the Impression Group which is managing the shooting in the State informed that work on a new project has started. Sharing details, he said that the shooting of the Hindi feature film ‘Old People’ being made under the banner of Monal Films Private Limited is being held now in different places in Dehradun. The writer of the story on which the film is being made and the lead actor Vinay Joshi said that the shooting is being held now in Singhniwala, Tiparpur and Naya Gaon in Dehradun, adding that three of the main cast of the film Abhay Badoni, Ankita Parihar and Laxmi Rawat hail from Uttarakhand. He further added that the film is based on a horror comedy and it would be shot in different locations across Uttarakhand.  The director of the film Rajesh Joshi is a renowned Bollywood director working for the past few years. Sipahi ji is among the films he directed.
