First cluster school to come up in Rudraprayag district

The Education department has started the process of construction of cluster schools in the State. The department has released a sum of Rs 7.48 crore for constructing three cluster schools in Rudraprayag district.
In the first phase the Education department plans to open one cluster in every district.
Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that the cluster schools will be opened in the schools as per the National Education Policy (NEP)-2020. He said that the cluster schools will be provided with every facility and adequate staff and teachers.
The purpose of setting up cluster schools is to tackle the problem of shortage of infrastructure and teachers by merging the schools having less student enrolment. These students of class VI to XII will get admission in these schools.
