Fishing cat released in the wild after treatment

A fishing cat found injured some days ago in the Terai east forest division was released in the wild after treatment in the Ranibagh rescue centre. The feline was released in the Barkoli range on Friday.
The Terai east divisional forest officer Himanshu Bagri informed that the cat was found in an injured stated on March 15 by trainee Indian Forest Service officer Aditya Ratan and department personnel.
The cat was rescued from this area of Sitarganj and taken to Ranibagh for treatment. The feline fully recovered on Thursday, after which she was released in the wild.
