The nodal officer of Fit India campaign of Kumaun University Nainital, Ritesh Sah said that the campaign is being hosted in the university’s DSB campus as per the instructions of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and under the guidance of the vice chancellor Prof Diwan Singh Rawat. He further said that the week-long campaign that commenced on Tuesday features various activities. While fun games were organised on the inaugural day sports will be held on Wednesday, essay writing and quiz competition on Thursday, traditional games on Friday, popular games on Saturday, debate on Sunday and poster making competition on the final day: Monday.
Sah said that this initiative is an important step towards motivating the youth to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle as well as encouraging the spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork.
