The Bharatiya Janata Party has opined that the Congress rally addressed by the party’s national president Mallikarjun Kharge was a flop. The BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt said that the people do not trust the Congress anymore, which was witnessed in its Dehradun rally on Sunday. Bhatt said, “The Congress president focused only on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the rally and was unable to make any trustworthy statements in front of the public. His address was centered on opposing Modi. The Congress president was referring to PM Modi as an avatar in a humorous manner but his words seemed venomous,” Bhatt said.
He further averred that it was the BJP government which took care of the soldiers due to which now the families of soldiers are being provided all facilities. One Rank One Pension and various other better decisions taken in the interests of soldiers can be considered achievements. The BJP State president further said that the Congress was doubtful of the crowd which would gather for Kharge’s address and had booked the Bannu School ground earlier. However, it still moaned about not getting the Parade Ground for the event in order to gain public sympathy. The public today is leaning towards the BJP and it has faith in Modi’s development policy.
The Congress would not have had to cry before the public today if it had facilitated inclusive development, Bhatt said. “The Uttarakhand visit of any central leader of the Congress does not augur well for that party. When the Congress State in-charge first visited Dehradun, about 1,000 members from the Congress and other parties joined the BJP. Today, when the Congress national president visited Doon, a former Congress MLA, other Congress leaders with public support along with a total of 3,000 people joined the BJP. The Congress is taking out a Nyay Yatra in the country but is unable to do justice to its own party workers. The Congress leaders and workers are going where their honour is secure,” the BJP State president added.
