Focus on T-3 strategy to deal with anaemia in pregnant women- Bhadauria

The mission director of National Health Mission (NHM) Swati Bhadauria has said that the health workers should work on the T-3 strategy- test, treat and talk- to deal with the problem of anaemia in pregnant women.
She gave the order during her inspection of health centres in Udham Singh Nagar district on Monday. The MD said that the T-3 strategy gives priority to timely diagnosis, treatment and consultancy for anaemia. She directed the officers to ensure availability of necessary equipment for testing of anaemia. Bhadauria said that all the health centres should be equipped with necessary resources for treatment of severe cases of anaemia.
In her visit the MD inspected wards, SNCU, labour room, emergency, mammography, radiology, laboratory, telemedicine service and OPD at the district hospital in Rudrapur. She was informed that about 700 dialysis are done every month in the hospital.
Bhadauria also visited the district TB centre of Udham Singh Nagar. She directed the district TB officer to ensure the availability of TB medicines.
Chief medical officer of Udham Singh Nagar, Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma and other senior officers accompanied the MD during her visit.
