Sajid Qureshi’s Fodxpert completes 5 years, Eyes 10,000-Screen Restaurant DOOH Network

PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE

Sajid Qureshi, Chairman and Co-Founder of Fodxpert Ally Pvt Ltd, has completed five years of building Fodxpert into a digital out-of-home (DOOH) advertising platform focused on premium restaurants across India.

Co-founded with Khushi Singh, Fodxpert has developed a network of AI-powered digital kiosk screens installed at eye level near dining tables in more than 500 restaurants across major cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

The company aims to leverage the captive and high-spending audience found in premium dining spaces. According to the company, its screens provide brands with uninterrupted visibility among urban professionals, decision-makers and lifestyle consumers during their extended stay at restaurants.

Fodxpert’s model combines digital advertising with contextual placement, allowing brands to communicate with consumers in a relaxed environment. The platform also provides performance tracking and audience insights to help advertisers assess campaign effectiveness.

Over the past five years, the company has executed campaigns for several leading brands, including Mastercard, HDFC Bank, Adani Group, Godrej Group, Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Airtel, Croma, IDFC, Sony, Colgate and Maybelline.

Qureshi said one of the major challenges in the initial phase was convincing premium restaurants to adopt digital advertising without compromising their ambience or customer experience. Working with Singh, the company developed a revenue-sharing model under which restaurants can monetise their space without bearing the cost of installing the screens.

Fodxpert installs 55-inch HD screens at partner restaurants at no cost and allows them to use the screens for promoting their own offers and services alongside commercial advertising.

The company is now looking to expand its footprint in existing markets and plans to build a network of 10,000 screens across India over the next three years. It also plans to enter the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) market after establishing a stronger nationwide presence.

Qureshi has funded the venture himself and has interests in film production, digital entertainment and hospitality through ventures including Inbox Pictures, Buzzzooka, T3 Streaming and B3 Hospitality.

With its growing restaurant network and focus on premium audiences, Fodxpert aims to position itself as a major player in India’s restaurant-focused DOOH advertising segment. The company is also looking to leverage its technology, advertiser network and hospitality partnerships to expand its reach nationally and eventually into international markets.
