In latest news from Uttarakhand, as dense fog has started setting in with the onset of winter, the Northern Railway has cancelled operation of some trains from four stations across Kumaon region-Kathgodam, Lalkuan, Ramnagar and Tanakpur- from December 2 to March 27. Informing this, the public relations officer of Northern Railway Rajendra Singh said that the decision had been taken in the interests of the passengers, adding that fog safety devices had been installed too to have the train speed reduced to aver accidents due to low visibility factor.
