Fog warning issued though weather to remain dry and temperatures higher

The temperatures have continued to remain above normal in various parts of the State though foggy conditions are being experienced especially during the morning hours in the plain areas of the State. The weather is expected to remain similar on Tuesday with the State Meteorological Centre forecasting that dry weather is likely to prevail over all districts of the State. However, the centre has also issued a yellow warning (Watch) regarding the possibility of moderate to dense fog likely to occur in Udham Singh Nagar district today.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a mainly cloudy sky with mist/shallow fog likely to occur during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 23 degrees Celsius and seven degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
Meanwhile, the State witnessed dry weather on Monday after a moderately foggy morning. The temperatures were above normal in various parts of the State. The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded on Monday were 22.3 degrees Celsius and 6.8 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 21.7 degrees Celsius and seven degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 20 degrees Celsius and 6.1 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 18.4 degrees Celsius and 5.6 degrees Celsius in New Tehri. The maximum temperature was a degree above normal in Dehradun while the minimum was a degree below normal. The minimum was a degree above normal in Pantnagar while the maximum was seven degrees above normal and minimum was four degrees above normal in Mukteshwar. The maximum was three degrees above normal and the minimum was a degree above normal in New Tehri.
