For capacity building, panchayat representatives undergo training sessions

For capacity development of the panchayat representatives, the Panchayati Raj department is holding training sessions since January 22. The department has made batches of these representatives and every batch is being imparted two day training.

The secretary Panchayati Raj, H C Semwal said that in these training programmes, the district Panchayati Raj officers of all districts, assistant development officers of blocks, Gram Panchayat development officers and village Pradhans are imparted training on E Gram Swaraj portal, targets of sustainable development, Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP), services provided to Panchayats under the Common Service Centres, MNREGS, solid waste management, help desk system and others.

The training is being provided by retired joint director D P Devradi, Research and Development expert Kanchan Negi, additional chief executive officer Manoj Pant, Joint director Vivek Upadhyaya, state head CSC Lalit Bora and others. On Thursday the representatives of Champawat district were taken to Bhogpur in Doiwala to witness the solid waste management system.
