Former Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Rakesh Kumar has become the chairman of the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC). He was an IAS in the 1992 batch of Uttarakhand cadre. Currently, he is serving as the chief advisor of India in the United States (US) Aid organisation. He has also been the district magistrate of Nainital, Pauri and Dehradun and has handled important responsibilities in many departments including education, health, disaster management, revenue.
