The exodus of the leaders from the Congress party ahead of the crucial Lok Sabha elections is continuing unabatedly in Uttarakhand. On Friday another senior leader of the party Vijay Pal Sajwan resigned from the party. He is expected to join the BJP in the presence of senior party leaders on Saturday.
Sajwan, a two-time MLA from Gangotri Assembly constituency cited personal reasons for leaving the party in a letter directed to Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president. Interestingly Sajwan is another leader from the camp of former PCC president Pritam Singh to bid adieu to the Congress party. In recent times Ashok Verma and Atol Singh Rawat had left Congress to join BJP. Both these leaders were also said to be the supporters of Singh.
