Former prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh passes away at 92

Veteran Congress leader and former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has passed away at the age of 92. He was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi on Thursday and was brought to the hospital’s emergency department around 8 PM.
Singh, who served as India’s Prime Minister for two consecutive terms under the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) from 2004 to 2014, was widely respected for his leadership and economic reforms.
He was also a long-serving member of the Rajya Sabha, representing the Congress party. His demise marks the end of an era in Indian politics.
