NTPC’s Tapovan Project celebrated its 22nd foundation day through a commemorative programme held on the project premises here on Saturday. The ceremony began with the welcome of the project chief (in-charge), Narsingh Pal Singh.
This was followed by flag hoisting and the collective singing of the NTPC song. A cake was cut too to mark the occasion.
In his address, Pal Singh highlighted the importance of teamwork, safety and dedication. On this occasion, the Indian Army’s fire-fighters who had controlled the fire in Jyotirmath were felicitated. The head of human resources of the project, Sugata Das Gupta also addressed the programme.
The closing phase of the programme featured friendly sports competitions, including matches between Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and NTPC. A friendly match was also held between teams from NTPC Tapovan.
