In latest news from Doon, the birthday of Jitendra Joshi, the founder- president of Uttaranchal University, was celebrated as founder’s day in the university. A large number of students from India and abroad studying here greeted him as he reached his office. Among the dignitaries who greeted him included the vice president of the university, Ankita Joshi, vice chancellor Dharam Buddhi and pro vice chancellor Rajesh Bahuguna. The teachers, officers and employees of the university congratulated him too.
On this occasion, a cultural programme was staged in the Swami Vivekananda auditorium of the university. Joshi, in his address, said that he felt privileged in being a teacher, adding that he has become a medium of building the future of thousands of children and becoming the head of hundreds of employees of the university family.
