Four arrested for robbing wholesaler of Rs 7 lakh

The police have arrested four men for allegedly robbing a wholesaler of Manglaur of Rs seven lakh. The police recovered Rs five lakh, a pistol and two motorcycles used to commit the crime. Manglaur police circle officer Pankaj Gairola said that Rahul Garg, a resident of Solanipuram in Roorkee Civil Lines Kotwali area, was going towards his house after collecting money when the miscreants attacked him on the Haridwar highway at 7:30 PM on October 13.
The police checked footage from hundreds of CCTV cameras and tried various means to identify and track the culprits. On Thursday afternoon, the police got information that the culprits were coming to Manglaur again to commit another crime and were standing on the Gangnahar track. The four men nabbed by the police were identified as Roorkee resident Firoz, Bahadarabad resident Danish, Roorkee resident Azam and Bahadarabad resident Danish. The accused told the police that the crime was carried out together with their accomplices. The police are searching for the others involved in the crime while checking the past criminal history of the arrested accused.
