The district administration sealed four Common Service Centres (CSCs) centres during a surprise inspection drive in Dehradun on Thursday after finding irregularities at the facilities. The inspections were led by the sub-divisional magistrate along with officials from the Tehsil administration and police.
The centres operated by Shadman, Honey Raman, Karan Verma and Prachi Kaushik were sealed after officials found shortcomings during the inspection. The officials also took computers and laptops into custody from some centres during the inspection. CPUs were taken from the centres of Shadman, Khanna and Verma, while laptops were taken from the centres of Bansal and Kaushik.
The administration has also recommended cancellation of the CSC ID of Pawan Farswan after finding irregularities at his centre. Khanna was issued a strict warning over shortcomings found at her centre.
The administration said surprise inspections will continue. It warned that negligence, irregularities or illegal collection of money from people at CSC centres would not be tolerated.
