Four day 10th World Ayurved Congress to commence on Dec 12 in Dehradun

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami released the curtain raiser of the 10th World Ayurved Congress at the State secretariat on Monday.
The Congress will be organized at Parade Ground Dehradun from December 12 to 15. Addressing the curtain raising ceremony, the CM said that Uttarakhand is the land from which Ayurved originated and it is a matter of great satisfaction that the World Ayurved Congress is being hosted by the State. He said that the experts of Ayurved and other stakeholders will deliberate on different aspects of Ayurved for four days and the nectar emerging out of the deliberations will be beneficial for the State. Dhami said that Uttarakhand has remained a land of illumination for Ayurved and it is apt that the Congress is being organized in the State.
The CM said that the Ayurved proved its effectiveness and positive effect on the health of human beings during the pandemic of Covid-19. The CM added that the event will carry forward the message of ‘ Sarve Santu Niramaya’ ( may everyone remains free from illnesses) to the masses,
He said that the climate of Uttarakhand is perfectly suitable for the medicinal plants and the subject of Ayurved is the subject of Uttarakhand, Himalayas and its forests. The CM said that three new 50 bed Ayush hospitals are coming up in Tehri, Kotdwar, and Tanakpur. He said that 300 Ayushman Arogya temples have been set up in the State and more than 150 Ayush hospitals in the State have received NABH accreditation.
The chief secretary Radha Raturi said that being Devbhoomi and land of origin of Ayurved it is imperative that the event is being organized in the State.
The secretary Ayush, Ravinath Raman said that apart from delegates, representatives from eight departments of Uttarakhand will take part in the Congress. He said that the Congress will provide a platform for experts, entrepreneurs, farmers, researchers and other stakeholders.
The trustee of the World Ayurved Congress Ranjeet Pauranik informed that the theme of the 10th Congress is ‘digital Ayurved’. He said that more than 3,000 international delegates representing 58 countries will attend the Congress and it will witness participation of 6500 representatives from different parts of the country.
