Four-day workshop on LokOS App begins at Patanjali

A four-day workshop on the LokOS App for digitalisation of the records of self help groups formed under National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) was inaugurated at the University of Patanjali on Monday. Patanjali Yogpeeth co-founder Acharya Balkrishna, Uttarakhand State Rural Livelihood Mission (USRLM) CEO Manuj Goyal andothers jointly inaugurated the workshop.
Addressing the gathering, Balkrishna appreciated the various works being done under the NRLM for women empowerment. He also thanked the authorities for selecting Patanjali as the national resource organisation. He said that Patanjali is also working with 10 lakh women Yoga teachers across the nation.
Speaking on the occasion, Goyal said that as per the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the USRLM is working at a swift pace on Lakhpati Didi scheme and LokOS, among other initiatives.
Government of India joint secretary Smriti Saran and deputy secretary Nivedita Prsad virtually addressed the gathering, informing about the utility of LokOS.
The workshop being organised by USRLM is being attended by participants from 10 States and Union Territories including Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Ladakh, Andaman and Nicobar, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana.
