Four died and six sustained serious injuries in a road accident in the Manglaur area of Haridwar district late on Thursday. All victims were part of a wedding procession travelling from Meerut to Roorkee who were travelling in a Scorpio SUV when the accident took place, as per the officials.

According to them, the accident happened near Mangalaur when the vehicle reportedly lost control and overturned after hitting a divider. The impact of the crash left three individuals dead on the spot, while others sustained serious injuries. The deceased have been identified as Vansh, Sonu and Sujal. The driver of the vehicle Chirag (25) succumbed to his injuries later, the officials said. Given the severity of their injuries, some of the victims were referred to a higher medical centre for advanced treatment.

They said that one of the injured was admitted to a private hospital, while others, including Kashi and Tushar, remain in critical condition. The officials said that the victims were going to attend a wedding in Roorkee’s Chandrapuri area.
